Cancel your school-based apprenticeship or traineeship

Common reasons students want to cancel their apprenticeship or traineeship include:

  • they find it too demanding (school plus work and training)
  • they don't enjoy the work
  • they don't get along with their employer
  • they are moving schools and the new school won't support the apprenticeship or traineeship
  • it's no longer practical
  • they are finishing school and don't want to convert to full-time or part-time.

Despite these reasons, cancelling should be your last resort.
