For assistance with non-life threatening situations - such as help with a damaged roof, rising flood water, or storm damage - phone the SES on 132 500.

Community wellbeing services

In the event of a disaster, we work with a wide range of organisations to minimise the impact and ensure the recovery of affected communities. During and after a disaster you may need practical assistance or community support to assist you and your family. Our Regional Community Support Services brochures provide information and contact details for key community services available in your area.

Free mail redirection

You may be eligible for a free 12-month mail redirection if a major natural disaster impacts your mail delivery (personal mail only) and your ‘from’ address shows an address within the natural disaster region, as declared by Australia Post. Find out more.
