Joining a sport or active recreation club is a great way for kids to keep active.
But some kids can’t join because costs get in the way.
Families who need a hand can apply for ‘Get Started Vouchers’, which provide up to $150 towards club fees.
‘Get Started Vouchers’ can only be redeemed at registered clubs.
If you are a club representative, you can check the club locator on our website to see if your club is registered.
You can search by activity and postcode in case your club is already listed under a slightly different name.
If your club is on our website, it’s registered and ready to redeem ‘Get Started Vouchers’.
If you don’t find your club on our website, registering online is easy.
Create an account, enter your club’s details and submit your application.

Once you’ve submitted your application, we’ll assess it and get back to you. If your club is eligible, you’ll receive an email confirming your club is registered and ready to redeem ‘Get Started Vouchers’.
If your club is not eligible, you’ll receive an email outlining why.
Once you’re registered, you can redeem a voucher.
First, log into your account.
Then, click on the ‘applications’ tab, then ‘redeem voucher’.
We’ll cover trouble-shooting in a moment. For now, here’s how to redeem your vouchers.
One: enter the voucher number and confirm the child’s details.
Two: select the activity from the drop-down menu
Three: Enter the participation fee. This should be the total cost for the child’s membership, not just the amount of the voucher.
Four: Select the club bank account the funds need to go into, or fill in the details to nominate a new one. You can update your bank account details each time you redeem a voucher.
Five: Click ‘submit’.
You can check the status of each voucher by clicking on the ‘applications’ tab.
If the status of the voucher says ‘agreement created’ or ‘approved’, you’ll receive the funds within 10 business days.
If a voucher status says ‘more information required’, you’ll need to click on the application and revisit the form.
Read it through carefully to make sure you’ve filled in all the details.
Now, let’s trouble-shoot. If you don’t have a login, you’ll need to create your own account to redeem your vouchers. We have a ‘Creating an Account’ video that shows you what to do.
If you’re logged in but you can’t see a ‘redeem voucher’ button—or, if you’ve just created an account—you’ll need to complete the Club Change Request Form on our website.
If your club is registered but some details on the club locator need updating, like the club’s email address, you can also use this form.
We’ll email you when we’ve updated these changes in our system. This might take up to five business days.
As a registered ‘Get Started Vouchers’ club, you can also access a range of advertising that promotes your club.
