When to renew

We will send you a reminder 10 weeks before your card expires.

To get yours, keep your contact details up to date.

You can renew your card up to 16 weeks before the expiry date.

Before you renew

Before you apply to renew, make sure you:

  • have your Customer Reference Number (CRN) from the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)
  • check that your email address, mobile number and date of birth match your TMR record
  • understand your payment options.

Check your photo

Your blue card will use the photo linked to your TMR record.

If your photo is more than 6 years and 11 months old, you must visit a TMR customer service centre to have a new photo taken before you renew.

We will let you know during your renewal if you need a new photo.
