Vehicle registration duty rates

Calculating vehicle registration duty

Our vehicle registration duty calculator can help you work out how much you will need to pay.

Vehicle registration duty is calculated on the dutiable value of a vehicle using the rates in the following tables. The dutiable value is the list price or market value, depending on whether your vehicle is new, used or modified for a person with a disability.
