Disclosure statement

By law, you must give a client a copy of the pre-contractual disclosure statement before they sign a contract.

This disclosure statement describes the introduction services you will provide under the contract.

The statement must:

  • include your name
  • note the type and levels of service you will provide
  • show the price of each level of service and the method of payment
  • list the criteria you use for introductions
  • describe how you introduce clients
  • note your refund policy, including when you will give a refund
  • detail your complaint procedure
  • show how much the client must pay to end the contract early
  • note anything else the client must do.

You face penalties if you break the law.
