Access counselling
After you apply to access the donor conception information register, you can request counselling.
The counselling service is not currently available.
If you request counselling, we will contact you when the service is available.
Donor Conceived Australia
Provides support, information and advocacy led by donor conceived people.
Support includes:
- online and in-person support
- national support groups for donor conceived people
- referrals to other support services.
Beyond Blue
Provides counselling support services for anyone.
Support includes:
- online support
- phone support
- other support services
- self-guided tools.
Egg Donation Australia
Offers support at every stage of the assisted reproduction journey for:
- donors
- donor conceived people
- parents.
Rainbow Families
Supports LGBTQIA+ parents and families.
Assisted Reproductive Treatment Families Australia (ARTFam)
Supports and connects people in the donor conceived community.
Support includes:
- connecting with people who have similar experiences
- information and resources
- advocacy and education about issues affecting the donor conceived community and ART families.
ARTFam also supports people and families who are navigating assisted reproductive treatment (ART).
Australian Solo Mothers by Choice (ASMBC)
Provides support and connects solo mothers by choice.
Support includes:
- connecting with women who have similar experiences
- online groups
- local meet-ups and events
- information and resources about donor conception and solo parenting.
Donor conception information outside Queensland
If you were conceived outside of Queensland, you may be able to access donor conception information from the register in the state or territory where you were conceived.
