Adventure Camp

The Adventure Camp is our all-inclusive, activity based camp. We offer four different themed programs of instructor-led activities that emphasise health and well-being, team building, resilience and leadership through a fun, challenging, relevant and engaging experiential learning process.

Our themed programs add an extra level of development focus and are appropriate for any group. They have been designed in consultation with experienced, practising teachers to align with Version 8 of the Australian Curriculum. A suite of teacher and student curriculum resources are available for Year Bands 5/6 and 7/8.

We have two incredible locations on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, perfectly situated for you to experience the best of what Queensland has to offer—sun, surf and coastal waterways. Our world famous beaches, Tallebudgera and Currimundi, provide the perfect backdrop for your Adventure Camp experience.

Instructor-led activities

Each of the themed programs has a selection of activities, which assist in achieving that program’s key outcomes. We have over 25 instructor-led activities that offer fun and challenging new experiences in a safe environment. Through participation in a range of activities, participants develop new, or build upon existing, fundamental movement skills and learn how to take positive action to enhance their own and others’ health, safety and wellbeing. We will work with you to select the activities which best align to your chosen theme to design your custom program.

Our experienced and accredited instructors facilitate activities to achieve the key outcomes of your themed program. This is achieved by:

  • using specific language when frontloading key objectives
  • coaching throughout the activity
  • guided reflection to finish the session
  • allowing plenty of time for participants to enjoy the activity.

This engaging experiential learning process allows participants to having fun while they acquire, practice and refine the key outcomes of your themed program.

Curriculum links

Our themed programs have been designed in consultation with experienced practising teachers to assist in achieving educational outcomes that align with Version 8 of the Australian Curriculum. They align primarily with the Health and Physical Education Curriculum and General Capabilities, however there are additional alignments with cross-curricular priorities and indirect links to other key learning areas.

Our teacher and student curriculum resources have been developed to maximise the learning outcomes from our themed programs for Year Bands 5/6 and 7/8. Through the selection of your program and activities, we are able build you customised resources; including pre and post-camp research tasks and classroom activities.
