The Queensland Government has expanded its landmark Adult Crime Adult Time laws to 47 youth crime offences.

The landmark Adult Crime, Adult Time laws make it clear to youth offenders that there will be consequences for criminal behaviour.

The Making Queensland Safer Laws provide for 47 Adult Crime, Adult Time offences that put victims’ rights ahead of offenders.

This list has been recommended by the Expert Legal Panel, which was established to consider further and more complex crimes.

To further break the cycle of crime, the Breach Bail, Go to Jail and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2026 was also introduced on 27 August 2026. You can have your say on the proposed new laws through the ‘Have your say’ button above.

It’s all part of the Queensland Government’s plan to restore safety where you live.
