Sunset clauses and early release of deposits

The Queensland Government sought views on 2 matters relating to ‘off the plan’ residential property sales contracts:

• The use of sunset clauses by property developers (sellers) to terminate the contract.
• The early release of deposits to property developers (sellers).

This consultation closed on 14 September 2022.
