Department of Transport and Main Roads graduate program

Program pause

After more than a decade of providing exciting and career-defining opportunities, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is undertaking a review of the TMR Graduate Program. This is to ensure it continues to meet future workforce needs and deliver meaningful outcomes for graduates.

As part of this review, TMR will not proceed with an intake in 2027.

This deliberate pause provides an opportunity to review and strengthen the program, ensuring it remains aligned with TMR's strategic priorities, evolving workforce needs and future capability requirements.

The program is expected to return in 2027 for a 2028 graduate intake with a refreshed, future-focused design that supports the development of capabilities and skills needed for the future of transport, rail, infrastructure and Olympic-related projects in Queensland.
