Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ) graduate program offers university graduates a 12-month opportunity to gain real-world experience through rotations across various areas of the HIQ division.

About this program
As a HIQ graduate, you will have the rewarding role of contributing to health infrastructure projects across Queensland.
As part of the program, you will have an opportunity to work alongside industry professionals across a number of infrastructure functions including planning and design, project delivery, program performance, governance, risk and compliance, furniture, fixtures and equipment, operational commissioning and procurement and contracts.
During the program, you will build your professional skills and contribute to meaningful projects with real impact. Designed to build on the knowledge you gained at university, the program helps you develop public sector expertise through a mix of work rotations, internal training, and formal learning and development.

On site, I'm working alongside experienced project professionals and getting hands on experience on how major infrastructure projects are planned and delivered.

I've actually been encouraged to get involved, ask questions and contribute, and even developed a team charter with my mentor.

I've learned that delivering a project isn't just about construction, it's also about having the right people, relationships and teamwork behind it.

We welcome applications from graduates of all disciplines and universities.
We are looking for graduates who:
- have strong communication skills
- are interested in pursuing a career in health infrastructure
- are open-minded and adaptable
- have a passion for learning.
Program eligibility
To be eligible to legally work in Australia, you need to be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work in Australia.
You are eligible to apply for the HIQ graduate program if you:
- have completed at least an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 7 qualification (a bachelor's degree) or higher
- have completed your most recent degree between 1 January 2025 and the commencement of the program in January 2027.

- an outline of how your skills, experience, knowledge and personal qualities would enable you to achieve the key responsibilities and skill requirements of the role.
