New Graduate Physiotherapist

About this program

Graduate Physiotherapist opportunities are offered across multiple Metro South Health facilities. While each facility recruits independently, all opportunities provide structured support, professional development and clinical experience to help graduates transition into professional practice.

As a New Graduate Physiotherapist, you'll have the opportunity to build your clinical skills across a variety of practice areas while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care within a supportive multidisciplinary team. You'll develop confidence through structured supervision, professional development and hands-on experience by:

• delivering physiotherapy assessment, treatment and discharge planning across a range of clinical areas
• managing an allocated caseload while developing clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
• working collaboratively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive health outcomes
• contributing to quality improvement, research and service development initiatives
• supporting the education of students and allied health assistants under senior clinician guidance.

Who we are looking for

We're looking for a motivated graduate who is passionate about delivering patient-centred care and eager to continue developing professionally. You will demonstrate:

• eligibility for AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist before commencement
• completion (or expected completion) of an approved Physiotherapy degree during 2026
• strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork
• a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning
• excellent organisational and time management skills
• a genuine passion for improving patient outcomes and delivering compassionate care.

Program eligibility

You are eligible to apply if you:

• are eligible for AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist before program commencement
• have a university undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a discipline listed above
• are an Australian or New Zealand citizen
• are an Australian permanent resident
• have a visa with unrestricted working rights under Australian immigration law.
