Anzac Square Memorial & Galleries

Thursday 25 April 2024, 5.30am to 3.00pm, beneath the Shrine of Remembrance, Anzac Square, Ann Street, Brisbane.

Extend your Anzac Day experience with an interactive journey through history from the First World War to the present day inside the Anzac Square Memorial & Galleries.

This free exhibition, curated by the State Library of Queensland, offers a captivating exploration of Queensland's military heritage.

Visitors are invited to explore the exhibition, pay their respects, and leave tokens of remembrance such as poppies, wreaths, or messages in honour of Queensland-associated battalions, regiments, and other units.

Access to the galleries is available through the double brass doors in the Anzac Square parklands or via the Central Station pedestrian tunnel.

Take this opportunity to deepen your understanding of Queensland's wartime history and commemorate the sacrifices of those who served.

Outside of Anzac Day, the galleries are open Sunday – Friday from 10am – 4pm and closed public holidays (excluding Anzac Day), admission is free.
