Queensland Youth Week
Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 April 2026 is Queensland Youth Week – a statewide celebration of the talents, achievements and contributions made by young Queenslanders aged 12-25 to their communities, our state and beyond.
It’s a time to:
- recognise, amplify, and celebrate the positive impacts young people have on their communities
- support youth-led initiatives that create positive change
- connect with young people in your community through exciting events and activities.

Dazzle us with your digital masterpieces
Our digital art competition is back!
This year we’re looking for digital art that celebrates the spirit of Queensland’s young people. The focus is on positive representation that celebrates, inspires, and empowers young Queenslanders.
Commission will be awarded to the top 3 artworks, with the winner’s creation featuring in Queensland Youth Week 2027 promotions!*
- 1st place: $1,000
- 2nd place: $500
- 3rd place: $250

Entries are now open for young Queensland residents aged 12-25, closing 5pm (AEST) Sunday 22 March 2026.
Apply for a community event grant
We’re offering funding of up to $10,000 (inclusive of GST) for young people to partner with councils or community organisations to deliver awesome events during Youth Week. It’s all thanks to our partnership with the Queensland Mental Health Commission.
