Digital art competition
The 2026 Queensland Youth Week digital art competition invited young Queensland artists aged 12–25 to showcase their artistry and innovation and highlight how they are shaping their futures and contributing to their communities.
We extend our thanks to the 132 young artists who took part in this competition. Submissions were judged on creativity, originality and how effectively each artwork connected with young people.
2026 winner

“In the past few years, I've witnessed a distain for technology and social media growing in the younger generations, and recently I've seen an increase in people socializing with friends and playing games in parks. This artwork was inspired by this recent reacceptance of outdoor activities instead of technology…. Young Queenslanders are growing up surrounded by technology, and while it is helpful in many ways, this piece shows that the balance that is needed and is slowly being adopted by the Queensland youth. A connection with nature and wildlife is also important to many Australian kids, and encouraging and fostering these interests are extremely important.”
Jack Andrew.
