Parent-teacher communication

You can always contact your school to get in touch with a teacher or the principal, or to ask about school activities.

The school office is always a good place to start.

All schools have a website that should list their contact details, or you can find your school contact details in the school directory.

Some schools will list email addresses and may encourage communication that way.

Formal school reports are given at least once a semester and parents are encouraged to discuss their child’s learning progress with their teacher. Most schools will have organised parent–teacher sessions to facilitate this around report time.

Check your school website and newsletters for the timing of parent–teacher interviews.
