Your receipt date and number are located toward the top right corner of your registration certificate.

Please note: not all registration certificates have this number. If your certificate does not include this number, please use another document or form of identity.

Registration notice

Your document number is located toward the top left hand corner of your registration notice called Document Number. It is a mixture of numbers and letters. The Document Number is only printed on a posted Vehicle Registration Notice.

Please note: not all vehicle registration notices have this number. If your Vehicle Registration Notice does not include this number, please use another document or form of identity.

Driver licensing

Card number

You can find your card number on the front and/or back of your driver licence, industry authority, marine licence indicator, adult proof of age card or photo identification card in the bottom right hand corner. It is marked as your Card number.

Driver licence renewal notice

Your Document Number is located in the top left hand corner of your driver licence renewal notice. The document number is a mixture of letters and numbers. The document number is only printed on a posted Driver Licence Renewal Notice. Please note: not all driver licence renewal notices have this number. If your driver licence renewal notice does not include this number, please use another document or form of identity.

Infringements and fines

Photographic detection device offence infringement notice

Your notice number is located in the top left hand corner of your infringement notice (photographic detection device offence). It is marked as Notice Number. You will also need the date of the offence. This is located near the bottom right hand corner of the notice.

Your infringement notice number is located in the top right hand corner of your infringement notice. It is marked as Infringement Notice Number.

You will also need the issuing officer number located in the centre of the notice at the bottom of the Offence Details section and marked as Officer’s Number.

Your infringement number is located in the top right hand corner of your infringement notice. It may contain a combination of letters and numbers.

You will also need the issuing officer number which is marked as a Reg. No., next to the police officer’s signature on your infringement notice.

Marine infringement notice

Your infringement number is located in the top right hand corner of your marine infringement notice. It may contain a combination of letters and numbers.

You will also need the issuing officer’s number. This is located next to the officer’s signature and is marked as Issuing Officer’s No.

Translink infringement notices

Your infringement number is located in the top right hand corner of your infringement notice. It is marked as 'No.'. You will also need the issuing officer’s ID number. For TransLink infringement notices, this is marked as the ID No. and is located next to the officer’s signature

Your notice number is located in the top left hand corner of your accumulation of demerit points notice to choose. It is marked as Notice Number.

Disability parking permits

Australian permit

Your permit number is located at the top of your Australian disability parking permit. It is above the expiry date and is the first 6 digits after the letters QLD. Your index number is the one or more digits after the second dash in this line. Please note that not all permits have an index number.

Your permit number is located at the top of your Red disability parking permit. It is marked as Permit Number and is the first 6 digits only.
