Privacy and use of information

The Queensland Government, acting through the Department of National Parks, Sport and Recreation (‘the Department’) manages personal information in line with the Information Privacy Act 2009 .

The Department is collecting information in the Sport and Recreation Grant Registration Portal for the purposes of assessing any applications for funding, your involvement in any sport and recreation programs, and any sport and recreation services relating to the portfolio.  Information collected will be accessed and used by the Department relating to the above purposes.

The Department will disclose details of approved funding and contact details of accountable officers (such as name, position in the organisation, email in the organisation and telephone number), to Members of Parliament and/or other Government agencies (Local, State or Federal) and/or relevant sport and recreation organisations for the purpose of advice on approved project information and the approved project. 

Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other parties unless authorised or required by law. Email if you would like to know more about information privacy.

Details of the amount of funding approved, description and location of the project will be made available on the Department’s website.

Terms and conditions

I acknowledge I have read and agreed to the terms and conditions of Sport and Recreation Services Grant Registration Portal.

As Primary Contact for an organisation in the Grant Registration Portal, I am authorised to act on behalf of the organisation named above, and I acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. As Primary Contact for such organisation, I am responsible for maintaining the accuracy of information about the organisation contained in the Portal, including management of access to the Portal by Secondary Contacts on behalf of the organisation;
  2. Where funding is approved under the Department’s grant programs, the Department will publish the organisation name, amount of funding approved, project description and project location on its website;
  3. The Department may provide information contained in the Portal to Members of Parliament and/or other Government agencies (Local, State or Federal) and/or relevant sport and recreation organisations; and
  4. As Primary Contact for the organisation, I have obtained the necessary consent from the accountable officer to ensure that I can agree to the information being disclosed and used by the Department as outlined above (specifically in relation to point 3)
