How to find our ceremony venue

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. There are guest waiting areas and dressing rooms.

Access to the Brisbane registry ceremony rooms

We’re located on level 32 of the ‘180 Brisbane’ building, accessible through the breezeway from 180 Ann Street, Brisbane City.

Before you plan your trip to the Brisbane registry, please refer to the map and instructions in pink below.

Entering the building

Monday to Friday

On weekdays, you can access our ceremony venue through either of our entrances:

  • 180 Ann Street
  • Turbot Street.

Friday evenings and weekends

Outside business hours, you can only enter the building through the Turbot Street entrance, a security guard (or one of our staff) will meet you and direct you to the lifts that lead to our ceremony rooms.

To identify the Ann Street entrance, look out for the ‘180 Brisbane’ building name.

Use either the escalator or lift available at street level.

To identify the Turbot Street entrance, look out for the ‘180 Brisbane’ building name.

You can enter through these doors—or through the lift available at street level, to the left of the stairs.

Parking and transport

We are centrally located to public transport with Central Railway Station just metres away along with King George Square and Queen Street bus stations within a few minutes' walk.

Paid parking available at:

  • Wickham Terrace Car Park
  • King George Square Car Park
  • Queens Plaza
  • Myer Centre.

Ensure you arrive on time by planning your travel before the day.

Sometimes there may be roadblocks or events in the city, which may impact travel time or carpark availability. You don’t want to be late!

Ceremony rooms etiquette

When you arrive on level 32, find the ceremony waiting room through the sliding doors to the left of the reception desk.

Make yourself comfortable and your celebrant will come out to greet you.

When you arrive there may be a ceremony in progress, so please keep noise levels to a minimum.

You are welcome to take photos on our ceremony floor. However, please be mindful of our venue restrictions:

  • Do not take photos anywhere else in the building
  • Do not throw confetti, rice or flower petals in or around the ceremony rooms (or anywhere else in or near to the building)
  • Do not eat or drink in or around the ceremony rooms
