Drought assistance land rent deferral

As part of the government’s drought assistance, the payment date for all Category 11 drought declared invoices for the 2026–27 financial year has been extended until 30 June 2027. No penalty interest will accrue on overdue balances during the 2026–27 financial year.

Landholders who are not in a drought declared area, are not eligible for this drought assistance land rent deferral. However if these landholders are experiencing hardship due to the drought, they may be eligible to apply for a land rent deferral.
