Drought assistance land rent rebate

The Queensland Government recognises that the widespread drought across the state is causing many landholders severe hardship. As part of the government's 2018–19 drought assistance package, landholders of rural leases issued under the Land Act 1994 are eligible to a rebate of 15% of your annual rent if your annual rent is more than the minimum rent of fee 34948.

The rebate is available to leases that are in a drought-declared area.

Landholders who are eligible for the rebate will receive information in their annual/quarterly invoice.

In addition to this rebate, landholders will also be able to defer the required payment until 30 June 2019 with no penalty interest.
