The Land Restoration Fund (LRF) Approved Adviser program helps landholders to connect with carbon industry professionals.
Advisers complete LRF-specific training before being added to the Approved Adviser Directory. You can contact an Adviser directly for help with:
- the opportunities and implications of undertaking a carbon farming project
- the underpinning regulatory framework and approved methods of generating carbon credits in Australia
- the Land Restoration Fund and co-benefits
- carbon and other environmental markets
- evaluating the carbon and biodiversity potential of a property
- accessing and interpreting site-specific information including
- land tenure restrictions and requirements
- obligations for commitment of land in both area and time
- application of potential methods
- potential co-benefits
- legal and financial considerations of undertaking a carbon farming project.
The Directory lists Advisers from the following professional groups:
- Solicitors: must have a valid practising certificate and experience providing commercial legal advice to landholders.
- Accountants: must hold full membership as a Chartered Accountant, Certified Practising Accountant, or Institute of Public Accountants membership, with experience in business accounting advice for landholders.
- Carbon Project Developers: must be a signatory to the Australian Carbon Industry Code of Conduct and have experience as a carbon farming project developer.
- Environmental Consultants: must hold relevant qualifications and membership with an industry association, with experience providing environmental advice to landholders.
- Agribusiness Advisers: includes agronomists, environmental planners, economists and other consultants with experience advising landholders.
