Free information sessions: Reef protection regulations and vegetation management for graziers

Rockhampton (during Beef Week)

The Queensland Government is holding free information sessions for landholders on reef protection regulations and vegetation management.

Presenters from the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation (DESI) will talk through what a compliance visit for reef protection regulations looks like, and explain how, when, and where you may need to take action to improve or maintain land condition.

Presenters from the Department of Resources (DoR) will shed light on permissible activities within mapped regulated vegetation areas. They'll guide you in accessing vegetation management maps for your property and navigating the rules governing vegetation clearance and management on your land.

Attendees will receive comprehensive information packs, and our presenters will be on hand to address any enquiries you may have, ensuring a clear understanding of how the regulations may impact you.

These drop-in information sessions are free and open to all, with a specific focus on supporting primary producers engaged in beef cattle grazing.

All three sessions are being held at the DESI office, 61 Yeppoon Road, Parkhurst QLD 4702 (North Rockhampton).
