Privacy statement
The Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG) (‘we’/’us’/’our’) is developing strategies for gambling harm minimisation in Queensland. The personal information you give us on this registration form will be used by us—or a company on our behalf—to determine what types of gambling harm we can learn from you about.
To identify participants from higher risk groups, we ask you for your gender, age and cultural information. These questions are not mandatory and you can choose not to respond.
We—or a company on our behalf—may contact you so you can participate in online or face-to-face focus groups. We will only use your personal information for this purpose. We may disclose the information you provide on this form to the company conducting the focus groups. If you are participating in a focus group, please note you will be disclosing your personal information to other participants in that group. If you do not want to participate in a focus group and would rather be contacted individually, please let us know.
We will not use your personal information for any other purpose, nor will we disclose your personal information to anyone else unless the alternative use or disclosure is authorised or required under a law. We will manage your personal information in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009.
