Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority
The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) is responsible for:
- investigating and planning for potential venues and villages, and related infrastructure, for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, including, for example—
- conducting investigations of sites and existing or proposed facilities; and
- preparing project validation reports for the sites and facilities; and
- delivering venues in time for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and within budget allocations, including managing effects on users of venues during their development
- monitoring and ensuring the delivery of villages in time for the Games
- coordinating and integrating the planning and delivery of State, Commonwealth and Local Government obligations under, or related to, the Olympic Host Contract.
