The Caxton Legal Centre is an independent, non-profit community organisation in Brisbane that provides free legal advice, social work services and referrals for the general public.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service is a community-based organisation providing culturally proficient legal services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Queensland.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women’s Legal and Advocacy Service provides legal and other assistance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.
Seniors legal and support service
The Seniors legal and support service (SLASS) can provide seniors with free legal advice, counselling and referrals to other legal services.
Aged and disability advocacy
Queensland Aged and Disability Advocacy provides free legal advocacy on adult guardianship matters that are going before, or are being reviewed by, the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans Intersex Legal Service
The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans Intersex (LGBTI) Legal Service is a community-based service providing free legal advice and assistance. They can help with the following issues:
- domestic violence
- discrimination and victims support
- criminal and family law
- Centrelink, employment and civil matters
- legal issues in relation to government decisions
- surrogacy and parenting rights.
The LGBTI Legal Service can provide advice even if the matter is not related to your sexuality or gender identity. You may prefer to access the service if you feel more comfortable in dealing with a solicitor with a specific interest and understanding of LGBTI issues.
Women’s Legal Service
The Women's Legal Service and the North Queensland Women’s Legal Service are specialist community legal centres. They provide free legal information, advice and referrals throughout Queensland.
