International student programs

If you are thinking about studying in Australia you should consider applying for an international student program.

International students programs are offered by some Queensland schools as well as other education institutions and can help you to:

  • learn English
  • explore your academic potential
  • open pathways to further study in Australia.

Education Queensland International

Education Queensland International (EQI) gives school students from overseas the opportunity to live and study in Queensland.

As Queensland’s leading international student exchange and support provider, EQI enables students from overseas to prepare for and fulfil their academic potential in Queensland.

Some of EQI’s most popular programs include:

  • EQI Primary School—for students who want to study in a Queensland primary school (Year 1 to Year 7).
  • EQI High School Preparation—an intensive program that prepares students for academic success in Queensland high schools.
  • Year 10 Offshore Program—allows students to complete Australian Year 10 in their home country and get prepared to study Year 11 and Year 12 here in Queensland.
  • High School Study Abroad—for students from Year 8 to Year 12 who want to study in Queensland for 6, 9 or 12 months.
  • High School Graduate Program—enables students to complete their education here in Queensland and graduate with a Certificate of Education.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma—an intensive diploma that is studied during a student’s senior education. It can help with entry to universities around the world.
