TAFE Queensland short courses
TAFE Queensland provides short courses for both personal and professional development.
Courses can be completed at one of the institutes throughout the state or you can choose online or distance learning.
Explore the following options:
- Find TAFE Queensland short courses that are currently available in Queensland or visit the website of your local TAFE institute to search for short courses.
- Online short courses and distance short courses are available through TAFE Open Learning.
- My Learning Short Course Collection lists face-to-face courses provided by Brisbane North Institute of TAFE—as well as traditional classes they also provide online and distance options.
Other registered training organisations
Many other registered training organisations (RTOs) apart from TAFE Queensland offer short courses.

University short courses
Short courses delivered by Queensland universities focus on professional development. Some universities also allow you to enrol in a single unit or course rather than completing a full degree.
Australian Catholic University (ACU)
ACU offer short training courses including executive education programs and a program for nurse immunisers. You can also complete individual units of degrees.

Central Queensland University (CQ University)
The Queensland Centre for Professional Development is a business centre of CQ University.
Look at creative short courses including digital design. You can also apply to complete a single unit of a degree.

Queensland University of Technology (QUT)
QUT offers short courses and professional development in areas including:

The University of Queensland (UQ)
