City Park Twilight Markets

To celebrate Youth Week 2026, Hervey Bay Regional Gallery and Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre are hosting the 'Youth Makers Market: City Park Twilight Market' to allow young creatives and entrepreneurs on the Fraser Coast to showcase and sell their handmade arts & crafts and pre-loved items.

Attendance to the market is free and open to everyone - come down to support the next generation and find something unique. This event will include live entertainment, activities and food stalls.

Calling all young creators and entrepreneurs! Are you ready to showcase your talent and sell your unique products at our Youth Week Market? Whether it's handmade crafts, art, jewellery, or second-hand clothing and wares, we want YOU to be a part of this fantastic event!

Cost: No site fees, register your stall through the 'Expression of Interest' form below. Successful stall holders will be allocated one table (180cm) and two chairs to display their goods. The Pizza Garden

Plant to Plate - gardening, cooking and recycling education. Join us at Halcro Street Community Garden in Pialba this Youth Week to harvest fresh pizza toppings, learn to make pizza bases with local legend and MKR Chef Dan Mulheron, and bake your own pizzas on-site. While they cook, jump into hands-on workshops with our Library and Recycling Education teams to learn seed saving and simple ways to reuse household items to grow your own ‘pizza garden’ at home.

Please note there is a $5 charge for this event, to contribute to costs of consumables and take-home packs. This is payable in cash only on the day. This event is outdoors - please wear enclosed shoes and consider your safety needs in the sun.

2026 Youth Matters Conference: F.L.I.P

Presented by Multicultural Youth Queensland (MYQ) the conference will provide a youth-led space to share ideas, showcase projects and shape inclusive futures. Do you have an idea or project that supports young people? Or want to learn from others creating change in their communities? The Youth Matters Conference brings multicultural young people together to share lived experience, explore issues that matter, and turn ideas into action. Through project showcases, conversations and interactive sessions, you’ll connect with other young leaders, discover grassroots initiatives, and find new ways to collaborate and grow your impact.

Location: Queensland Multicultural Centre (QMC), Kangaroo Point, Brisbane.

Youth Week: DIY and Defiant with Ana Daniels

Join Bundaberg-born artist Ana Daniels for this practical workshop exploring creativity and identity through textiles. Using upcycled fabrics and everyday materials, participants will experiment with construction and sculptural techniques to create their own tactile artworks.

Inspired by Ana’s exhibition Home Bodies, this workshop invites participants to transform the ordinary into something bold, expressive, and unexpected. Through experimentation, young creatives will discover how textiles can spark discussion on resilience, self-determination and DIY culture.

This workshop is part of Queensland Youth Week - a celebration of young people and their incredible achievements, ideas, talents and contributions to our community. No prior experience is needed and all materials are provided.

Borough Beats

Pull up to Borough Beats for an afternoon at the Maryborough Pump Track with music, prizes and plenty of action, hosted with Backbone BMX.Bring your skateboard, scooter, BMX, rollerblades or skates and ride under the beats. Youth Week: Printmaking with Kaz Stanton

Join artist Kaz Stanton this Youth Week for a hands-on exploration of printmaking and storytelling through art. Participants will experiment with dry point etching using upcycled everyday materials, learning how to scratch, ink, and print their own layered artwork.

Through this tactile process, you’ll piece together an image that reflects on your own ideas of home, memory, and place.

Currently exhibiting in The Unrequited Dream at CHARTS, Kaz creates work inspired by suburban life in Queensland while confronting the changing realities of cost of living, environmental damage and identity. Bring along a few reference images — photos of home, places you love to go, or locations that hold memory — and transform them into a unique artwork to take home.

Community Groove - Easter Disco

Hop into Youth Week with our All-Abilities Easter Disco! Enjoy an afternoon of music, dancing and inclusive fun for everyone. Entry is just a gold coin donation, with prizes up for grabs for best dressed, so bring your Easter vibes! Resident DJs Loop & Bounce will be spinning the tunes and keep an eye out… the Easter Bunny might just make a special appearance!

Canteen and sausage sizzle available (cash only). Bring your friends along to dance the evening away! Parents and guardians are welcome to stay as well. Ages: 5-14 years. All abilities welcome! Gold coin donation at the door.

Youth Workshop- Building Resilience and Befriending Stress

This youth-focused workshop is designed to equip young Queenslanders with practical tools to navigate stress, strengthen emotional resilience, and build confidence as they shape their futures. The program integrates interactive learning, experiential activities, and meaningful discussions that align with the vision of The Young Queenslanders Strategy, supporting young people to participate, cultivate, live well, and thrive in their communities.

We would have a guest speaker who is a famous sportsperson and would deliver talk on resilience.

Page Turners Youth Book Club

Everleigh Page Turners is a relaxed and welcoming space for young people aged 12–16 to connect over books, share ideas, and make new friends. Each session held on the last Wednesday of each month will feature lively book discussions, snacks, prizes, and the opportunity to open the pages to new possibilities.

Location: Everleigh AFL Clubhouse Time: 6:00pm–7:00pm. Upcoming session dates: 29 April27 May24 June The book selections below have been recommended by the team at Logan City Libraries. The first voted title will be available from 29 March, either in hard copy through the local library or as an eBook.
