Queensland Youth Week 2024 Digital Art Competition

Hey young artists of Queensland! Got a flair for digital art? This competition is more than just a contest; it's a platform to underscore the social and economic impact young Queenslanders contribute to our state through their artistry and innovation.

Here's your chance to shine and maybe even win an awesome Apple iPad and Apple Pencil, worth around $1,000 and perfect for making even more amazing art!

What it's all about

We're looking for digital artwork that captures the spirit of Queensland’s young people. We want pieces that celebrate, inspire, and empower young people like you!

Who can enter

  • If you're aged 12 to 25 and are a Queensland resident, you're in!
  • If you're under 18, make sure you first get a thumbs-up from a parent or guardian to join in.
  • You'll need to be able to show proof you live in Queensland and how old you are if we ask.

Artwork must-dos

  • Your artwork needs to be something you made all by yourself (sorry, no AI-generated stuff).
  • Your artwork must be a digital creation (that's art made on a computer or a digital device).
  • We're excited to see something new, so it must be art that hasn't been shown off anywhere before.
  • Keep it G-rated – nothing offensive or inappropriate, please!
  • If your art includes Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP), make sure you have the right permissions. ICIP refers to the rights that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have, and want to have, to protect their traditional arts and culture. If you use aspects of traditional arts and culture in your artwork, you will need to have permission from the appropriate custodians of those cultural elements.

Prize time

The winner of this competition will score an iPad and Apple Pencil pack, worth about $1,000! It's not just about the prize, though—the winner’s art will be the face of next year's Queensland Youth Week!

How to enter

  • Create your artwork and get it ready to send to us in a high-res PDF or JPEG initially (preferred) or PNG file.
  • Submit your digital artwork through our online entry form by the deadline 5pm AEST on Monday, 20 May 2024. Don't be late!
  • Each person can only send in one piece, so make it your best!
