A taxi service licence authorises an accredited operator to provide a taxi service in a specific area—subject to certain conditions.

Apply for a taxi service licence

Due to changes to the personalised transport industry in Queensland (introduced in 2016), we are not releasing any new taxi service licences.

You can still get a taxi service licence by buying or leasing an existing licence.

Renew or amend your taxi licence

Once you have a taxi service licence, check how you can:

• amend details of your taxi service licence (F2976)
• lease your taxi service licence (F5185)
• transfer your taxi service licence (F5186).
