How to apply

Round 7 opens 23 April 2018

Get Going Clubs provides funding to local and regional sport and active recreation organisations to improve their capabilities to better deliver activities in Queensland communities.

Eligible organisations

Organisations eligible to apply for funding are:

  • local or regional level Queensland not-for-profit sport or recreation organisations or not-for-profit community organisations (with an objective of sport or recreation) incorporated under the:
    • Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Qld)
    • Corporations Act 2001 (Cwlth)
    • Cooperatives Act 1997 (Qld)
    • Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Cwlth); or
  • sport or recreation clubs incorporated within a Queensland university.

Eligible projects

Eligible not-for-profit sport and active recreation organisations can apply for funding of up to $7,500 (GST exclusive).

Eligible projects are those that improve club capabilities to:

  • provide quality sport and recreation activities
  • improve access to sport and recreation opportunities
  • deliver new opportunities to engage in sport and recreation.

An organisation can request funding for one project with any combination of the following components:

  • education and training
  • equipment
  • participation

Important dates

Round 7

  • Round 7 opens for applications on 23 April 2018
  • Applications close on 29 June 2018
  • Announcement of successful projects in August 2018
  • Successful projects can commence 1 September 2018
  • Projects to be completed by 31 August 2019
  • Project acquittal reports submitted by 31 October 2019

The following steps will help you determine the suitability of your project. Review the information and support on the Planning your project page:

  1. Check your organisation's eligibility
  2. Identify your project
  3. Develop a project plan
  4. Consult with a Sports and Recreation Regional Advisor

How to register to apply

Never registered before or registered online before May 2017?

You will need to register in the Grant Registration Portal (GRP) in Enquire (grants management system). Details available on the GRP information page.

Applying online

To access the application, complete the following steps:

  1. Visit the Enquire application portal and log into your account.
  2. Complete the online application including uploading any required documents. If at any point you don’t have documentation to support the application click ‘save’ and return to the application later by logging back into your account.
  3. Submit the application. Applications at a status of ‘submitted’ cannot be retrieved for editing by the applicant.

All applications must be submitted no later than 5pm, 29 June 2018.
