To make this happen, we’re helping local clubs thrive with accessible, fit-for-purpose facilities through Games On! to get more Queenslanders active, more often.
As Queensland prepares for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond, Games On! ensures the benefits of major events start in local communities — backing the volunteers, clubs and facilities that keep grassroots sport thriving.
Games On! is already supporting projects across Queensland and will continue to deliver real, lasting benefits for local communities.
Registrations of interest for the two funding streams are now closed. Shortlisted eligible applicants will be invited to submit a complete application by mid-June 2026.
Games On! Field of Play
Funds smaller, community-level infrastructure projects like shade structures, LED lights, and the upgrading of existing facilities to help more people get involved in sport.
Games On! Partnership Fund
Supports new larger-scale projects like club houses and multi-use precincts to create spaces that are inclusive, functional, and fit-for-purpose for both local use and future international events.
