Staying on Track
The Queensland Government is delivering new Staying on Track youth offender rehabilitation programs, investing $225 million over 5 years, to help restore safety where you live.
The 12 month post-detention rehabilitation program is a new initiative to drive-down youth reoffending and restore safety.
The program includes at least six months intensive support, post release from custody, to reintegrate youth back into the community and prevent them from falling back into a cycle of crime. The programs use a network of mentors, family support, and community engagement to help youth strengthen life skills, build positive relationships, and reduce reoffending, laying the foundation for long term change.
