Sign electronically by verifying your ID
If you are eligible to sign online you will be asked to select 2 to 4 sources you wish to use:
- Australian driver licence
- Medicare card
- Australian passport
- Australian visa (foreign passport)
- ImmiCard
- Australian citizenship certificate
- Australian birth certificate
- Australian marriage certificate
- Australian change of name certificate
The progress bar will show how close you are to completing your verification.
Another adult witness
If you were unable to sign your baby's birth registration online, anyone 18 or older can witness your signatures on the birth registration form, such as:
- people who visit you at the hospital
- family members
- friends
- your neighbours
- work colleagues.
