Proof of identity documents for Queensland Corrective Services
The proof of identity (ID) documents listed below are accepted by Queensland Corrective Services.
Applicants must provide 1 of either:
- current driver licence
- current passport
- a letter signed by a member of an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander organisation that identifies the person by name and signature
- identification card containing the person’s photo issued by:
- the chief executive
- a law enforcement agency
- the Supreme Court
- a state government entity (including a photo identification card issued by the Department of Transport and Main Roads)
- an education facility.
Alternatively, proof of identity can be verified by any 3 of the following:
- other current photographic ID displaying signature
- birth certificate
- Medicare card
- pensioner or social security card
- statutory declaration
- debit card, credit card or bank book with signature.
