Eligibility for the Graduate Portal

Graduate Portal closed

Please note that the Graduate Portal will be closed from 22 December 2017 until March 2018.

You must meet the residency and qualification criteria to register your interest on the Graduate Portal.

Each department has it's own criteria you must meet to be eligible for specific graduate and student opportunities.

1. Residency

You need to provide information confirming your eligibility to live and work in Australia if you are not an Australian citizen.

Permanent positions

To register for a permanent position you must be:

  • an Australian citizen, or
  • a New Zealand citizen residing in Australia, or
  • a permanent resident of Australia.

Temporary positions

To register for a temporary position you must be:

  • an Australian citizen, or
  • hold a valid residency visa which allows you to work the required hours for the length of the contract.

2. Qualifications

You need to have completed a relevant university-level associate degree, bachelor degree or postgraduate degree.

You must have completed your most recent qualification within the past 2 to 3 years or before the commencement of the graduate program to be eligible to register on the Graduate Portal. Visit the Graduate Opportunities page or department’s website to confirm qualification requirements for each department.

You must submit a copy of your current academic transcript with your registration.

Overseas qualifications

You will need to be assessed by the Overseas Qualifications Unit and attach this assessment to your application if you completed your qualification overseas.
