Veterans Digital Capability and Skilling Program

The Veterans Digital Capability and Skilling Program is aimed at supporting veterans, transitioning ADF members and their immediate families to pursue a digital or IT career.

Defence members bring valuable experience from their ADF careers and offer many sought after transferrable skills.

There is strong demand for people with digital skills and Queensland is expected to need an additional 10,000 digital professionals by 2024. So there’s never been a better time to start a digital career.

Training and benefits

The program provides a supported training pathway to a digital career, which is secure, well paid and flexible.

The program supports interested applicants to study digital and IT courses to progress to a digital training pathway in line with their interest and skills.

Training and career guidance will be provided in conjunction with TAFE Queensland and James Cook University. The Oasis Townsville is supporting the program as a partner.
