You will be looking at how government can take advantage of existing digital tools, as well as understanding how these tools can be used to improve customer services.

researching digital trends to facilitate government’s transition to digital
communicating your ideas with colleagues and managers to streamline services to the public
analysing how digital will impact the Australian IT landscape
building relationships across multiple government agencies. You will assist to guide agencies towards the digital future, helping them see the benefits of a “one government” approach
supporting the adoption of cloud services including infrastructure, platform and software
identifying application programming interface (API) opportunities. You will scope how agencies currently use APIs and see where advancements can be made
understanding business assurance and information security requirements.

A mobile platform application developer graduate assists to interpret business, system and service requirements to design and develop compelling mobile user experiences and applications. You will have the opportunity to assist to deliver better internal services within government and make improvements to the mobile service the Queensland community receives.

contributing to mobile application design and development for iOS and Android platforms
gaining hands-on experience using associated development environments and tools
assisting in interfacing mobile applications with backend web services and APIs
assisting with the research and trend analysis and testing of new mobile platforms.

experience designing and developing mobile applications
an understanding of the software development lifecycle
