Species Technical Committee Assessment Report 1 March 2023

The Species Technical Committee (STC) met on 1 March 2023 to finalise assessments for 37 Queensland species. The STC recommended that the Minister for Environment and the Great Barrier Reef and Minister for Science and Youth Affairs change the following species’ conservation status under the Nature Conservation Act (1992). An additional STC recommendation was made on 21 March 2023 to update the conservation status of a flora species that was previously incorrectly recommended as endangered.

In addition, there was one nomenclature change to a species name.
