About the Statewide Landcover and Trees Study (SLATS)
The Statewide Landcover and Trees Study (SLATS) monitors Queensland's forests and woodlands to map vegetation extent and changes due to clearing and regrowth.
SLATS methodology
The Statewide Landcover and Trees Study (SLATS) methodology enables the monitoring and reporting of change in woody vegetation extent. The use of Sentinel-2 satellite technology helps provide more accurate estimates of woody vegetation extent, density, and other attributes such as age and height.
SLATS reports
SLATS reports provide information about annual changes to the state’s woody vegetation extent due to clearing and regrowth.
