Requirements, responsibilities and resources for registered training organisations
Registration and audit
Registered training organisations (RTOs) are regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA)—the national vocational education and training (VET) regulator.
All processes relating to your training organisation's registration and audit requirements are managed by ASQA.
Read ASQA's practice guides to the standards for RTOs, covering marketing, enrolment, training and assessment and other regulatory compliance.
Vocational placement
ASQA is also responsible for regulating vocational (or student work) placements organised by RTOs.
You must comply with national standards, and may need to consider insurance, WorkCover and industrial relations arrangements relating to the student's undertaking placements.
