Multicultural Queensland Awards

Nominations for the 2023 Multicultural Queensland Awards are now open.

The awards recognise outstanding Queenslanders who contribute to a unified and harmonious state by putting inclusion into action.

Last year the winners came from ideas and initiatives big and small, recognising people and organisations making a real difference for an inclusive Queensland. See their stories.

The categories in this year’s Multicultural Queensland Awards are:

  • Outstanding contribution by a new Queenslander
  • Diversity and inclusion champion (Individual and Organisation)
  • Multicultural sector outstanding achiever (Individual and Organisation).

The awards are an opportunity to celebrate the passion and commitment of individuals and organisations who are going above and beyond to encourage inclusion and belonging and, in so doing, make Queensland communities strong and harmonious.

Since 1990, the awards have recognised community volunteers and groups, businesses, government agencies and media whose long-term efforts have helped all Queenslanders to participate in our economy and community.

Award nominations close 5 April 2023 and winners will be announced in August 2023, during Multicultural Queensland Month.
