Housing assistance for Queensland Veterans

The Queensland Government is supporting veterans and their families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

In partnership with The Salvation Army, we are investing $1.8 million over three years to support veterans and their families through practical assistance, including:

  • help to find a home and sustain tenancy
  • access to outreach services and crisis accommodation
  • referrals to support services, including mental health, drugs and alcohol support, and financial counselling.

The Salvation Army has already helped more than 600 veterans and their families to find a home and will continue to provide support and referrals to veterans and their families across the state.
