Have you heard about this swim-tastic new program?
We are thrilled to introduce SwimStart, a groundbreaking initiative, dedicated to supporting the next generation of Queenslanders with greater access to learn-to-swim programs.
Eligible parents, carers and guardians can now apply for a $150 voucher to subsidise in-person weekly or intensive learn-to-swim programs offered by accredited SwimStart activity providers, specifically tailored for children aged 0-4 years.
We encourage Queensland learn to swim providers to check their eligibility and apply to join our SwimStart family now.
We also encourage professionals closely connected with children and families to join us as referral agents, expanding access for Queenslanders.
Key dates
- November 7, 2023: Voucher applications for Round 1 opened.
- May 1, 2024: Closure of voucher applications.
- June 1, 2024: Distribution of vouchers to SwimStart activity providers.
- June 12, 2024: Redemption of vouchers by SwimStart activity providers.
