Queensland is in the midst of a clean energy revolution. Queensland’s clean energy transformation will support around 100,000 new jobs by 2040 and will create opportunities for local businesses to support these emerging and critical industries. With 95 per cent of infrastructure investment and 70 per cent of employment projected to be in regional areas, Queensland’s regions will be at the forefront of opportunities from the creation of the state’s SuperGrid.

Queensland’s Clean Energy Workforce Roadmap provides direction to further develop the state’s highly-skilled workforce to support the continued growth of the state’s clean energy industry. Developed in consultation with over 90 stakeholder groups across Queensland, the Roadmap aims to address future workforce needs through comprehensive and targeted workforce, training and educational opportunities.

Clean energy training pathways 

A key deliverable of the roadmap is the Future Energy Jobs Guide. The guide assists school leavers and existing skilled workers explore career opportunities and training pathways in the clean energy sector. Developed in partnership with key industry stakeholders, the Jobs Guide reflects current industry needs and future skill demands.
