By offering targeted programs you can attract top ranking students who may stay with your business for many years.

Develop a program

When developing a program, your planning should include:

  • designing a structured program with responsibilities and objectives in place
  • making sure your staff have time and resources to manage the program
  • researching the current market trends before offering the program
  • training and professional development activities
  • providing opportunities for graduates and interns to share experiences with their peers
  • organising for mentors to be part of the program.

Finding the right person

Tips for recruiting interns and graduates include:

  • registering with an industry body or becoming a member of an employment agency specialising in recruiting graduates
  • attending job expos at universities.
