Safehome

The Safehome Program helps people conduct home fire and safety inspections with the help of local firefighters.

Community Fire Ed presentations

Community Fire Ed is a presentation delivered by local fire crews to community groups, covering:

  • the importance of home fire safety
  • simple advice on how to reduce the risk of fire in the home and make your home a safer place.

Sustained Fire Safety in Communities Project

This is a pilot project fostering collaboration between the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and the public to enhance fire safety in the community. It is being piloted in Woodridge, Inala and Garbutt.

Police

Queensland Police Community Safety and Crime Prevention

Aimed at the regional, district and local level, these programs help reduce crime and enhance community safety through strong relationships with the community, business and the private sector.

Ambulance

First aid

Queensland Ambulance Service offer a number of practical community first-aid courses, from introductory first aid through to advanced resuscitation.

Courses range from a 4 hour beginner course to longer courses in emergency treatment, senior first aid, injury prevention and occupational first aid.
