Buying for your baby
Be careful when buying nursery and baby products. While most baby products are safe and dependable, not all products are made to the same standard. Make sure you choose the safest products.
Child Abduction Alerts
Child Abduction Alerts are broadcast on the radio to help police find children who have been abducted and return them home safely.
The alert is activated by police when all of the below apply:
- a child under the age of 17 has been abducted
- the child is at risk of serious harm or death
- there is enough descriptive information available to make the alert effective
- an urgent public broadcast will assist location and safe recovery of the child.
