Enrolling your child
Many childcare services take enrolments all year. Some can place children at any time; others may have a waiting list. Contact the provider about their enrolment policies.
When you enrol you may be asked to provide:
- the child’s name and address, and details about their parents, carers or guardians
- details of any special requirements—disability or food allergies
- proof of date of birth—birth certificate or visa
- health and immunisation status
- details of the people allowed to pick up your child.
Age requirements
In Queensland, different types of early childhood education and care services deliver programs for children from birth to 12 years old. Read more about age requirements for specific services.
Kindy age requirements
